Big Data and the Philosophy of Science

 

Professor Sabina Leonelli (University of Exeter, co-director of the Exeter Centre for the Study of the Life Sciences, where she leads the Data Studies research strand) will speak, along with two other panelists.  The aim is to cover epistemological, social and ethical aspects of Big Data research and methodological issues raised for the Philosophy of Science. Co-sponsored with the BU Colloquium for the Philosophy of Science and the Rafik B. Hariri Center for Computing BU.
